> CartographPC V2.1
We discovered a few little buggers in CartPC, so we created this minor bug fix release.

CartographPC V2.1 Changelog:

- Bug Fix: Highlighting tiles at the bottom of Tileset window would sometimes cause "Stack Overflow".

- New: Added additional check when loading default Datamap and Tileset when set in "Settings" window.

CartographPC V2.5 Roadmap:

- Multicolor support
- PNG graphic support
- Tile Animation (View animated tiles)
- Colordata (Color per character on datamap)
- Datatypes based on Tileset rather than Datamaps (256bytes)

> Alive?
Signs of life! Yes, we're still active and working on a gaggle of projects. Unfortunately, for me, real life issues love to intrude on hobby projects! I've been totally out of it ... no coding ... since around October 2010. It's always a blast around here, certainly more so the last two years than ever before tho.

Anyway, back on the code again, working on finishing up the combat module for Crimson Twilight. We're also putting together an invite-demo for ECCC 2011 and something spooky for Halloween is in the works.

I'll try to post more updates here and maybe some new screenshots for Crimson Twilight soon. In July we're going to start posting details about a few contests connected to Crimson Twilight. I'm working on straightening out some further details and gathering up the prizes.

> We'll be at ECCC 2010 with releases in hand!
ECCC 2010 is two weeks away and we've got some plans brewing for that event! We'll have new releases to spread including a new preview for our CRPG title Crimson Twilight and the newest version of our Windows devtool CartographPC. In fact, we've prepared some goodies to give away at ECCC, have a peek here and here. Andy and Carcass are currently working on our t-shirts for the event, so Fuzz and Warlock will have something cool to wear!

> CartographPC V1.5 released!
CartographPC V1.5 bounces out the door feature a complete re-write of the devtool. New features include copy/paste, tile stamping, random fill, and support for more data formats. As usual, this release also fixes a small number of bugs discovered in the last version. Discuss this new release in the Cartograph forum.

> CartographPC V1.1 released!
Here we are, finally CartographPC V1.1 is finished and ready for distro! Quite a few people helped test this version, there was even a beta version made specifically for TI-99/4A users! Major revamp of the layout, lots of user settings added, undo, random fill, export datamaps, some drag'n'drop added, and various bug fixes from V1.0 smacked down. Discuss this new release in the Cartograph forum.

> Cartograph V1.4 released!
Another day, another quality release! This new version of Cartograph fixes a few bugs; but the main reason for the release is the included compatibility with our new CartographPC devtool. Fuzz also included fully documented sample scroll source. Discuss this new release in the Cartograph forum.

> CartographPC V1.0 released!
We wanted a Windows application that could take screenshots of our maps and Warlock took on the task. What we ended up with is a fully functional Windows datamap editor that is format compatible with our native C64 Cartograph devtool. This intial version is fully working, but we're working on the next version already! Discuss this new release in the Cartograph forum.

> Cartograph V1.3 released!
Fuzz is cranking out the new features for Cartograph! This new version of Cartograph fixes a few bugs; but the big additions are REU functionality (autobackup, backup, and undo), RLE compression, various multi-tile fills, and increasing the datatypes to fifteen. Discuss this new release in the Cartograph forum.

> New Year: More releases and a new member!
Too me, it seems as though YR2009 moved by rather quickly. I'm amazed by the amount of NTSC scene releases in the last chunk of the year, a good nine releases total. We have plans for a few releases in YR2010 and I'm hoping to see similar levels of activity from the rest of our scene.

I'd like to make the announcement that Arkanix Labs has gained a new member, we've worked with this guy for a while already, but to have him join the group is a major break for us! We welcome Andy Vaisey to Arkanix Labs! He joined as a graphician, but he has already helped with all sorts of non-graphics projects. His work will be shown in the next Crimson Twilight preview, which will be released shortly.

> Cartograph V1.2 released at World of Commodore 2009
Fuzz is a busy little beaver, eh? This new version of Cartograph fixes quite a few bugs, but the big new addition is the "datatypes" functionality. I've been waiting for this feature for a while now, just what we needed for moving on with Crimson Twilight. Discuss this new release in the Cartograph forum.

> Crimson Twilight updates
Everyone here is hard at work on Crimson Twilight. There is now a very nice player sprite in the game, a big improvement over the giant arrow from Beta07. I know Schema will be happy! The code for combat and food/water (rations) is written and needs some heavy testing. We still don't have a collision routine in the engine, but that is the next system to see some develop time. We're working towards another preview release shortly, not sure of a date yet but soonish.

> Cartograph V1.1 released
Fuzz has worked hard this past month and because of that we've released Cartograph V1.1 this evening. The new version includes a much improved data converter, this one coded in assembly and only takes a second or two to handle the job. Let's not even think about the converter included with the previous version anymore, ok? You can read the changelog and grab the D64 image here.

> Arkanix Labs @ ECCC 2009 with releases!
Arkanix Labs stormed ECCC 2009 with disks in hand and released two projects. Firstly, we let the cat out of the bag and released the intial version of Cartograph, our native c64 map/level editor. This devtool is seeing heavy use with our own projects and we wanted to share the wealth with the community. Secondly, a very basic preview of Crimson Twilight was released giving everyone an idea of the direction we're heading with this CRPG project. You can grab copies of both releases on our forum here.

> Welcome!
So we finally have a news system in place! I can only blame myself for getting bogged down with countless projects and not focusing on this one. But that's all in the past now, we can now spew all sorts of updates about our goodies. Development on Crimson Twilight (tile-based CRPG) continues and is finally getting close to a very basic preview release. We are also working on a secret project that will see an intial release shortly. Maybe both at ECCC 2009?
