Arkanix Labs was formed in the year 1994, from the ashes of Threshold Productions (game/hardware developer) and Arcane Studios (demo group). This organization has covered many markets in the Commodore 64 wilds. We've developed our own games, imported and published games from Europe, designed and created hardware add-ons, and handled the mailing services for Driven magazine. These days most of our effort is channeled into development of games and devtools.

Our core team is currently six individuals from points in the United States, Canada, and Wales (UK); guys devoted to developing kick butt projects for the Commodore 64.

Jon Mines (Founder/Programmer/Graphician/WebDev)
Jon Mines Location: Seattle, Washington

Projects: NTSCene.com, Hardware64.com, Arcana (final demo)

Personal website (nothing there!)

Computers are in Jon's blood, he started dabbling with them at an early age. He started with Commodore PETs and moved to the TI-99/4A and then back to the Commodore with the C64 and eventually Amiga before infection of the graybox syndrome set in. From the start he wanted to be a programmer, first banging out some goofy BASIC text adventure games and a nice Rogue-like on the PET, and eventually demos, games, and tools on the C64. Programming for Amiga and PC doesn't hold his interest, but if need be, can be done. Free-time is spent reading, painting miniatures, chatting with friends, playing games, and driving in the green environs of Washington state.

About me?? errrrr
Born in Liverpool UK (I'm a scouser by heart) in 1973, moved to London in 2001, then moved to the States in 2010. Enjoy all kind of things computer related, but enjoy them as a hobby, at the moment. I'm a general happy go lucky person, but at the moment I'm on a mission trying to remember to say the 'American' expression of the UK version, or people don't understand me....doh!!

Petar's computer obsession started back in his home country of Croatia in 1983 with the Sinclair ZX Spectrum and has seen him working on platforms ranging from Commodore 64 to AS400 and everything in between. In 1994 Petar helped co-founded Arkanix Labs, a hardware and software development company which released many hit titles on various platforms. Since his introduction to the internet in the early 90's he's also been heavily involved in web development, utilizing a variety of skills including C, C++, C#, JAVA, PHP, SQL, Python and much more.

Former members include Patrick "Aceman" Vupli, Zak "The Infiltrator" Arntson, Daniel "DMackey" Mackey, Terry "Roy Batty" Flynn, and a very short stint for Robin "Macbeth" Harbron.

For a short while in the mid-1990s we tried our hands at hardware releases, during this time period Nate Dannenberg was under contract with our team. During this period he created the DigiMax, 8BSS (sampler), PowerSID 2400, and the MODplay 64/128 software.
