Commodore PET

Commodore Comes Back as an Android Smartphone

I'm actually a little disappointed they used the name "PET".

Re: Commodore PET

Yeah, heard little bit about this about two months ago then saw the press late last week and now.

Not really sure why these companies keep licensing the Commodore name and putting on everything thinking it will sell. This is just a hoohum Android phone after all.

The price is far too much for me to justify buying just for my collection

Re: Commodore PET

BTW, here is the non-Commodore version of the phone -> http://www.gizchina.com/2014/12/09/64bi … -just-145/

It costs $145 unlocked compared to the C= version which is $300 and $365.

If the manufacturer can sell the phone retail for $145 thats a huge mark-up for these two Italian guys with a license for the C= name.

Re: Commodore PET

Read about this elsewhere.  That mark-up is horrendous.

Re: Commodore PET

It's not worth an extra $200 for an emulator pre-installed and a C= logo? wink
